Love, Yoga, and Awakening - Preface to Blog Version

The following text is from my book published by Urban Mystic Books. I am providing the text here (see page links to the right) so others who may be led to this site can easily read the text without the cumbersome hurdles of obtaining the print version. Part of the reason for doing this is my sense that we now have a very limited window in which to address the many needs that we are faced with due to the evolutionary unfolding that the Earth, along with humanity, are currently undergoing. We are at the cusp of a decided new direction in terms of how our evolution will continue to unfold.

I wrote Love, Yoga, and Awakening after undergoing a very vivid process of consciousness change that precipitated from an intense period of searching. This, in my current view, is no longer necessary or required. We are being offered as many tools as we can muster and assimilate in order to evolve spiritually and consciously. The key is to somehow come across material that resonates with your internal structure and provides sufficient impetus for you to seek the Creator. It is in this view that this book is being offered here.

If I were to briefly summarize what Love, Yoga, and Awakening is really about, I would say that it is an approach to aid our planetary sphere to balance and transition the incoming divine energies into its reality matrix along the most helpful and needful paths. To put it another way, the book is geared towards aiding human beings to become active channels of the Creator's divine energies (Love, Light, Life) to aid our planetary sphere ― Earth.

But this is not just a technique or technology, this is a lived life path and expression. There are more than semantic issues that have to do with intent, purpose, behaviour, action, and so forth, that need to be attended to.

There is a practical method of meditation described in the book and that I have been undertaking for some time now (with some human challenges of consistency), and that puts the rubber to the road, so to speak, in terms of aiding our planet in its continuing effort to birth a new reality with the aid of the new divine energies that are approaching us. If you approach this text as primarily concerned with this you would not be far wrong.

Please feel free to read the text as you wish and may it be of some aid on your continued exploration of life on Earth at this time. If you do decide to make the approach practical by undertaking the meditation described in the book, do so only after you have asked input from your higher self concerning your choice to undertake the practical meditation path. This can be as simple as the sentence implies. Simply ask if this is a practice you should undertake and incorporate into your life.

The chapters from the book will appear on this blog in the order they appear in the book. This should make it easier to navigate the site and follow the text from the book. The introduction from the book, titled Opening/Aurora adds some other background that sheds light on the impetus behind the book. It is the first post in the series of posts drawn from the book.

Opening the Divine Portal

Opening the divine portal, that is, becoming conscious of your Creator status while in an incarnate state, does not make you good. That might come as a shock because if the divine source is all good and all pure, how can it not therefore transform everything that it pours itself into, into something similarly all good and all pure? The other side of the opening sentence is that opening the divine portal in an incarnate state does not make you bad.

The divine source has an experiential focus in reference to all that is. Everything or anyone that opens itself to the experiential impetus of the divine source is a candidate for the fulfilling of that experiential focus.

What this basically means is that the direction of experiential expression emanates from the individual that has opened the divine portal and has given the divine source access to the self. These attributes can be either, to use the colloquial terms, good or bad. In other words, the facets that emanate from conscious access to the divine source can be directed into negative forms of expression or positive forms of expression. This is of great significance because the potentials that emanate from the opening of the divine portal can be a cause for incredible harm or incredible good.

This is an important distinction to understand and to get hold of because the experiential forms of existence that follow our present third dimension consciousness expression are essentially concerned with refining either the negative orientation of divine self-expression or the positive orientation of divine self-expression.

YOU have to decide which orientation the divine source is going to experience as a result of the opening up of access to your self. The form and direction of experience has to come from you. Even though it’s not always clear what’s what, there has to be some clarity in terms of whether your orientation is geared towards the good and well-being of others (positive), or whether it is geared towards the good and well-being of the self to the detriment of others (negative). Our present locus within the third dimension is essentially concerned with arriving at a clear awareness of the chosen orientation that the divine source is going to experience, and consequently express itself as, as it begins to clothe itself into your life and expressed existence. The divine source is not going to make this choice for you although there are certain salient features that provide hints as to the resonant nature of the divine source, namely, all that is.

You have to live your chosen orientation, in other words, you have to become your orientation. This is not an intellectual exercise but a lived life path. There is a certain intensity required in order to catalyze the chosen orientation to the level of depth required to make this a lived experience, just as there is a certain level of intensity required in order to open the portal to the divine source within the incarnated state. The two approaches are related.

Become the Creator

Here is the problem with this topic — you already ARE the Creator. And yet, it is also quite the case that there is a process of becoming the Creator, of enacting, manifesting, the reality of what you are. This is a two-way process — you creating a space or channel of ingress into your field of reality through which the Creator can express as you, and also of the Creator moving towards you as you allow or create space for the Creator to manifest through your life.

This is not an easy thing to communicate because as a general stance, human beings are very wary of hearing anyone say they are the Creator. It is confusing because it sounds as if the unfortunate claimant is making exclusive claim to being the Creator, which of course cannot be the case. Although the statement is quite true, it also needs to be balanced by the realization that ALL are the Creator. Your coming to the realization in a personal sense does not negate the reality of All That Is, being the Creator.

The Creator is already you, so the active part of this process is allowing what already is, to be. It doesn’t really matter what your life circumstances may be, or what limitations it may have: allow the life of the Creator to flow through your life. Simply feel the life of the Creator seeping through every pore of your existence — every cell of your body, every circumstance and life situation. Feel the ‘eyes’ of the Creator looking at and observing every life context; listen as the Creator hears every sound that you hear; touch, smell, pain, sorrow, difficulty, joy, happiness, taste . . .

There are no rules to how the experiential existence of the Creator becomes part of your lived reality. Simply create a channel through which the vibrational frequency of the Creator can become woven into the structure of your life and its existence.

The Good Life

If you were to simply go by what the media says “the good life” is, it would be very simple to navigate life, and sadly, that is what millions upon millions of human lives are being spent doing — chasing the false notion of what is purported to be the kind of life to live according to those whose primary goal is for individuals to purchase manufactured products.

The good life according to you has, in its first reckoning, nothing to do with what is happening on planet Earth. Rather, it has everything to do with what is happening in your soul consciousness. It is what is happening in your soul consciousness that drew you to planet Earth to live a human life. The good life according to your soul is living out your soul’s purpose according to why you needed or wanted to incarnate on planet Earth.

How many souls do you think are calibrating their incarnations based on how good they are going to have it on Earth — loads of money, the ease of comfort, sexual exploits, beauty of form, fame, celebrity status, notoriety (consult the latest glamour magazine for additional adjectives)? Yes, there may be some souls, for whatever purpose within their evolutionary process, may have a need to incorporate such incarnational goals within their life experience, but not as substantial a number as the vast number of people chasing such purposes.

The good life is a measure of how close you get to living out the incarnational goals set out by your soul for being on Earth at this time. This may or may not match up with the some of the usual concepts of “the good life” as set out by human culture, though not very likely when one considers contemporary cultural interpretations.

Yes there are basic requirements for living life that qualify and go into having an incarnation to experience in the first place and those requirements are definitely needed and are therefore “good.” They are ground level requirements for living life at any speed — healthy food, adequate shelter, clothing, companionship, education, means of accessing these requirements. There are a vast panoply of ways in which these requirements can and have been met, so do not simply think of a single cultural and historical interpretation. It is these basic needs and the diverse approaches of meeting them that can truly be called ‘the good life’ from a human perspective and once they are met, it is up to the individual to access their soul purpose in order to answer what ‘the good life’ for them is from a soul perspective.

Living the good life from a soul perspective is an “inside out” process rather than an “outside in” process. In order to achieve this, or to get close to achieving this, one needs to access the goals set out by their soul for living life at this time. This is the truest form of education, and without it, life will continue to be a confusing process of floundering. Ask your soul . . .

Choice—the Key to further Evolution

The Creator is alive at every level of existence, every dimension, every plane. It is not possible at all for anyone to hide or be hidden. The only beings who believe, think, and act as if they can hide are third dimension beings. Everywhere else in the dimensions of the Universe there are only two kinds of beings—those who are consciously ‘good’ and those who are consciously ‘bad.’

The third dimension of existence is very unique in its characteristic of shielding the awareness, existence, and aliveness of the Creator from the beings within that octave of existence. This is quite deliberate and is by design. The reason is so beings can quickly arrive at one bias or the other—to be consciously ‘good’ or consciously ‘bad.’ This is the primary motive of the confusing, separative structure of existence in third density.

As we go through third density we accumulate biases and preferences in our manner of being. Much of these biases are based on the very distinct quality of third density reality that makes it near impossible to detect the Creator’s presence. Through all of this, third density reality is impelling us towards a conscious choice and state of being—positive polarity or negative polarity.

Until we have made a clear conscious choice of being with the Awareness that Is, we cannot release or remove ourselves from the third density way of existence which, of necessity, entails a diminished capacity to recall the aliveness and existence of the Creator within the self, each other, and all aspects of reality. It is this diminished capacity of awareness of the Creator that fuels various third density behaviors and actions that make up what seems to be the underlying quality of third dimensional existence—sorrow.

The capacity of planet Earth to provide the backdrop of existence for the third dimensional illusory consciousness of separation is diminishing and coming to an end. There is still a small window to arrive at the primary purpose behind third dimensional existence—to form the focus and locus of awareness around one of two conscious choices—service-to-others, or service-to-self. But how does one make this choice? The choice can only be made through a form of conscious awareness of the Creator—awareness of the Creator as All That Is, or awareness of the self as all that is.

The Tent World

A world was once constructed, but made entirely as a tent so that the residents of this world did not realize it was actually a tent. To those who lived out their lives inside the tent, everything was what you would expect the world to be. There were no discernable boundaries that would clue one to the limits of the tent or where the tent perimeters were. There was no faculty that the people inside the tent could utilize to find the edges of the tent and therefore realize that their world was actually a tent. The only way the tent-nature of “the world” could ever be uncovered would be for the residents of the tent world to match the vibrational frequency of the tent boundaries; the constructors of the tent world knew this. This was all by design so that the residents of the tent, through interaction at both a personal and non-personal level with the facets of “the world,” could thereby gradually shift their frequency towards the vibrational boundary of the tent edges.

For a long, long time, no one was drawing close to the vibrational frequency of the tent edges. This was quite unusual because it had been expected that at least some members of the tent tribe would have come close to the edges of the tent and clued in to the true nature of their world. After the dismal early results of the awakening process, it was decided to dispatch teachers to the tent people to live among them under the same conditions and gradually become trailblazers of a sort so that others could be inspired to follow their examples. You may know the names of some of these trailblazers, Patanjali, Gautama, Lao Tzu, Mohammed, Jehoshuah, Marguerite Porete, Teresa of Avila, Francis of Assisi—there are many others that I am sure you can add to the list.

Through various means and approaches, some members of the tent tribe gradually began to realize the tent-nature of their world. Because of the very nature of this discovery, many of these explorers truly endeavoured to share what they had discovered and how they had uncovered the true nature of what the tent tribe thought of as “the world.” Much of what these teachers taught was sorely misunderstood and in some cases perverted and misinterpreted. This was to be expected because like Morpheus says in “The Matrix,” one cannot be told what it is, you have to see it for yourself. Well, not quite to that extent, one can be told and can read descriptions such as this one, but something always remains beyond the pale. All that these descriptions are are clues, breadcrumbs that hopefully you can follow towards your very own personal discovery of what you perceive as the true nature of the world.

What the teachers have taught, directly and indirectly, is that our behaviors and the manner in which we live life affects our ability to approach the vibrational boundaries of the tent and thereby undergo a revolutionary internal reorganization of our nature that frees us from the mental, emotional, and spiritual confinements of the perimeters of the tent. These teachers found means and ways of stepping outside the tent as it were, and to their incredible and stupendous realization, finding that what everyone thought of as the world, including themselves, was actually a tent. Nothing would ever be the same after that. Because of the nature of the energies of tent existence, many of these pioneers had no choice but to stay in the tent and live out their lives, but they would no longer, nor could they, ever see “the world” the same way again.

If you were one of these pioneers and explorers, which you are, how would such a realization change you? All of a sudden, or gradually, you have come to the realization that the world is actually a tent. You still have to live out your tent energies of course, but you know that what you saw as the world and what others see as the world is actually a vibrational tent, but what do you do? What do you say to others to clue them or inform them of the nature of “the world”? What about yourself, how does this discovery affect you? You know that outside of the tent boundaries and edges there is a much larger reality out there, that “the world” is actually a small island surrounded by a vast sea of limitless being. How does this awareness change you or cause you to reorganize your life and manner of being?

The Awakened Consciousness

The awakened consciousness is very difficult to describe not least because everything has changed yet nothing at all has changed. To all appearances the individual is still the same so that any claim of no longer being the same person is met with scepticism. But to the individual, nothing could be farther from the truth. The internal landscape that makes up the psychological, mental, emotional, and spiritual topography of the individual is entirely different.

One of the most clear mental facets that comes into focus is what I could describe as observation awareness. It is simply that, as it were, one begins to see and observe the self as it is going about the business of living life. There is a very clear awareness that the structure that is going about living life is not really who one is. Consequently every action is now a conscious action. There no longer is any case of being hidden from the self and therefore no longer any excuse for any action. Everything done is being done consciously. This is very clear. All that had been done and entered into previously now looks like life lived under the stupor of a drunken forgetting.

Another facet that comes to the forefront is the realization that one is part of a very large cosmic family. That one is located on a particular planet called Earth among a species that calls itself human does not in any way curtail one’s newly acquired sense of being a member of the cosmic family. Locus and specific scenario or situation does not hamper or reduce this expansive sense of being. On the other hand, the reach of one’s participation in life also deepens. There is a clear sense of having the same significance as the ant or spider on the window. These humble expressions of life are not of less significance as the expression of life within oneself.

To the extent that one is able to allow the awareness, one is also quite aware there is only one consciousness that is seeking an accompanying expression through oneself. That one consciousness is what we have generally reserved the word GOD for. It is GOD who draws close and stands at the threshold of your existence seeking welcome. Here is one way of expressing what seems to happen: It is God becoming You, without you ceasing to be You. But the question is how much one is willing to allow this very clear realization to find expression in one’s life? What does it mean? How does GOD live a human life?
